Park Yong-woo, a hunter with a mask, said, 'Psychopaths also feel lonely...In the end, it's a matter of love and fear'

Actor Park Yong-woo sincerely conveyed his feelings while playing a psychopathic character in 'The Hunter with the Mess'.

Park Yong-woo met with Sports Chosun at somewhere in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 15th and responded to the end of the LG Uplus STUDIO X+U mid-form drama 「The Hunter with the Mess」 (directed by Junghoon Lee Cho Han-young, Park Hyun-shin, Hong Yeon-i, and Jin Se-hyuk).

From 'The Hunter with the Mess' (directed by Junghoon Lee, script by Cho Han-young, Park Hyun-shin, Hong Yeon-i, and Jin Se-hyuk), he left a strong impression as a psychopathic serial killer and the true culprit of the tailor's murder 'Yoon Jo-kyun'.

He left an intense filmography, expressing Yoon Jo-kyun's cool and sharp appearance. He was active at the center of the play with a very extreme atmosphere, going back and forth between the warm and cozy neighbor 'Choi-kyun' and his twisted father voice toward his daughter Seo Se-hyun (Park Joo-hyun) and 'Yoon Jo-kyun'.

In the interview, Park Yong-woo "It's a work that I finished filming a long time ago. When I watched it on TV again, even though it was a scene where I came out, it was unfamiliar, so I watched it like an audience. It looks like the character itself." "Psychopathic acting becomes cathartic in that you can try instead of things you would never normally be able to do," he added.

Park Yong-woo explained that he approached the character Yoon Jo-kyun as a person with a mental illness rather than just a villain. "Any character thinks that good and evil coexist. I'm not trying to interpret it as a dichotomous approach, but as a distorted and deficient being" is his acting philosophy. Especially "When you act, you become more attracted to characters who are lacking."Because it gives you a feeling of being alive as an actor..." he added.

On Yoon Jo-kyun's psychology, he said "It's a monster, but I think I'll feel lonely. When he felt that his daughter's only blood-mixed presence resembled him, he must have felt comfort and bond at that moment. "So even the moment she tried to harm herself, she would have laughed."

Meanwhile, 'The Hunter with the Mess' starring Park Yong-woo can be streamed on U+tv, U+Mobiletv and Disney+, a global online video service (OTT).
