Director Ahn Joo-young and actors Lee Soo-hyuk, Lee Da-hee, Arin, and Lee Eun-sam attended the event held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Seoul on the 7th to express their affection for the work.
'S Line' is a fantasy thriller about the story of a red line connected between people in sexual relationships starting to be visible. Based on the webtoon of the same name by the author Kkombi, it is one of the well-known 'Death Trilogy' such as 'Killer & Difficulty'.
Director Ahn Joo-young said, "The original work is a setting that everyone can see the S-line, but in the drama, it was adapted so that only a part of the line can be seen. We set up a medium called glasses to make use of the contact with reality, and we wanted to capture the changes and human group image experienced by a small number of people who see the S-line more elaborately."
In the play, Lee Soo-hyuk plays detective Ji-wook and tracks the murder case related to the secret of the S-line. He participated happily because he thought he could show a different charm from the existing detective characters"At the time of filming, there were some difficulties in parallel with the drama "Queen Wu", but the character's texture was different, so it was rather stimulating in terms of acting." Director Ahn said, `Ji-wook is a person who has a lot of S-lines. For his convincing appearance and intuitive character, he chose actor Lee Soo-hyuk," he added.
Lee Da-hee plays Kyu-jin, a high school teacher who treats her students warmly but is somehow double-faced. He is a character who is gentle on the outside but also has a chill that passes by momentarily. I thought a lot about how to convincingly express Kyu-jin's complex character.'
Oh My Girl Arin has transformed into Hyun-hyeop, a girl who can see the S-line of Tanaga-gil. He "At first, I had a lot of worries about how to play dark emotions. Director Ahn said, `Arien is an introvert, but he showed his willingness to jump into a fire pit for his character," he said, revealing the background of the casting.
Lee Eun-sam, who received attention as "Cheongdam International High School", played the role of Sun-ah, Ji-wook's nephew and Hyun-hyeop's classmate. He is a man of many wounds and bullying. Even before its release, 'S-Line' was officially invited to the 8th Cannes International Series Festival's feature competition section and received high expectations by winning the music award for the first time in Korea. Director Ahn said, `When I heard the cheers of the local audience in person, I felt an unforgettable emotion. "Since the main character and the atmosphere are different for each episode, I asked for variations in the music, but the details seem to have led to good reviews."
'S Line', which consists of a total of six episodes, will be released twice every Friday through Wave from the 11th.
