The Wave Original Series 'S Line', which was officially invited to the 8th Cannes International Series Festival's feature competition section and won the Music Award, has finally been unveiled.

Director Ahn Joo-young and actors Lee Soo-hyuk, Lee Da-hee, Arin, and Lee Eun-sam attended the production presentation held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Seoul on the afternoon of the 7th to express confidence and expectations for the work.

'S Line' is a fantasy thriller that delves into hidden truths and human desires based on the setting of a red line, also known as 'S Line', that is only visible among people who have had sexual relationships.




Starting from the webtoon of the same name of Kkombi, the original author of 'Killer's Difficulty', director An Joo-young reinterpreted it with a setting where only a part of 'S-line, not everyone, can see 'S-line'", signaling a world view differentiated from the original.

First of all, Lee Soo-hyuk, who plays the role of Detective 'Jiwook', said "It was nice to see a character who had a different image from the existing one. I was in parallel with other dramas at the time of shooting, but I was able to immerse myself in them thanks to the director's trust and the passion of the actors." he said. Director Ahn Joo-young explained that he chose Lee Soo-hyuk, who has excellent visuals, in order to intuitively understand the setting that he has the most S-line.

Lee Da-hee transformed into a gentle yet mysterious high school teacher 'Kyujin'. He worked hard to express the temperature difference between the outside and the inside of Kyu-jin`.

Lee Eun-sam delicately portrayed the emotional lines of a character with a complicated story by playing the role of the nephew of 'Jiwook' and his classmate 'Sunah'. He struggled to convincingly express the change between the expressionless early days and the emotional second half," he said, adding to his immersion.

'S Line' is also the only Korean drama invited to this year's Cannes Series Festival. As such, the local response was also hot.




Director Ahn Joo-young said, `When the movie was screened with full audience seats at the Auditorium and received cheers, I felt an unforgettable emotion as a director.' In particular, regarding the music award, "It's an honor that I asked for different colors of music for each episode because it's a work where thriller and fantasy coexist," he said.

The actors also expressed their excitement at the Cannes invitation. Lee Soo-hyuk said, `I wasn't ready for such a big position, but as time went by, I was more moved and my affection for the work grew.' "I was nervous enough to bring two pills of Cheongsimhwan, but I will never forget the moment on the pink carpet," Arin laughed.

Meanwhile, the original Wave drama 'S Line' will be released on Wave every Friday for three weeks, starting with episodes 1 and 2 on the 11th.
