At a press conference to host the 30th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) held at the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jung-gu, Seoul on the 26th, Chairman Chung said, `I am confident that this year's overseas guest lineup is monumental and the largest and best ever.'
Chairman Chung predicted the most spectacular overseas guest lineup ever. He said "There was a time when very famous star actors and star directors visited the Busan International Film Festival. In particular, this year is monumental and the biggest and best ever. In fact, such a lineup has been formed as well."
Then "With the determined moments of Asian cinema, all contemporary great directors and actors gather in Busan." In addition, Marco Velocchio, the best living master, will attend the Asian Film Festival for the first time in the history of film life in 85 years. Juliette Binosch will also attend this time."Documentary Gianfranco Rossi and Sergei Loznitsa will also visit Busan. Director Lee Sang-il, a representative player in the Japanese film industry, will also visit Busan. Guillermo del Toro, a legendary Hollywood master who dominated Venice and the Oscars, will also come to Busan with 'Frankenstein'. Coach Michael Mann also raised expectations, saying, "I'm going to visit Busan."
