tvN's new Saturday-Sunday drama "The Tyrant's Chef" (directed by Jang Tae-yu) starring Lim Yoon-ah is a survival fantasy romantic comedy drama that takes place when a time-slip chef meets the king, the worst tyrant and the owner of an absolute taste, at the best moment, and Lim Yoon-ah met viewers by playing the role of French chef "Yeon Ji-young."
In particular, Yeon Ji-young, played by Lim Yoon-ah in the first broadcast, overcame the crisis of fireball failure, won the top French cooking competition, and even got the opportunity to be head chef at a three-star Michelin restaurant, but on her way back to Korea, she was time-slip by the old book 'Mangunrok' in her father's hand as an errand.
Yeon Ji-young, who fell into an unfamiliar era, simultaneously created laughter and tension by confronting Lee Hun (Lee Chae-min), a tyrant who aimed his bow at him, with his outspoken attitude and confidence, and made red pepper paste butter bibimbap with his cooking skills and unique spirit as a chef, stirring Lee Hun's heart.
However, at the end of the broadcast, he was in a situation where he was on the verge of being discovered as a high-ranking criminal, raising questions about how Yeon Ji-young would survive in dangerous companionship with tyrant Lee Heon.
In the process, Lim Yoon-ah created a lovely and hard-hearted character by portraying the character of Dong-chan Yeon Ji-young with chewy passion despite her delicate expressive power and eloquence, natural foreign language use, and unpredictable situations facing tyrants.
Meanwhile, Im Yoon-ah's brilliant "Chef of the Tyrant" received a hot response by recording the highest ratings of the first tvN Saturday drama aired this year with 4.9% nationwide, 5.1% in the metropolitan area, and up to 6.8% (based on Nielsen Korea), and the second episode will air on tvN at 9:10 p.m. on the 24th.
