'Ama' depicts the bare face of the movie industry, which is hidden by the colorful spotlight, set in Chungmuro in the 1980s. It depicts the conflict and solidarity experienced by Hee-ran (Lee Ha-nee), a top star of the time, and Joo-ae (Bang Hyo-rin), a rookie selected through an audition, in the process of making a film called 「Ama Ma'am」.
