Released on Sept. 5, 「Killer Report" is a story about psychiatrist Younghoon asking veteran reporter Sun-joo, who is thirsty for a scoop, for an interview in which he confesses to serial murder, and director Cho Young-joon of"Chabbi" and"Song of the Sun" took the megaphone.
Jung Sung-il, who played Lee Young-hoon, a serial killer and psychiatrist, fell in love with the scenario when he first saw it. If the actors act well and the director directs well, the audience will be able to fall in love with it. There was no reason why I didn't do it" he said.
He then shared his feelings about playing a serial killer for the first time. Jung Sung-il "Actually, I don't understand the serial killer. However, the professionalism of the profession 'Doctor' was not considered important. Of course, it can be said that he studied psychology, but when I discussed it with the director, I felt that the character Younghoon should be clearly expressed. I also thought about how to attract a reporter named Baek Seon-ju."
Jung Sung-il was much loved by viewers around the world for his original Netflix series The Glory. He has been active since then, saying, "'The Glory' has not gone well because of me. I was lucky to participate in a good work. In the meantime, I have chosen works that can show various aspects such as 'Jeon, Lan' and 'Trigger', but I don't think the choice is wrong or wrong. Of course, not all works will go well, but I hope that 'Killer Report' will go well and become a new masterpiece.
