In the final episode of JTBC's Friday Series "Good Man," which aired on the 29th, Lee Dong-wook played Park Seok-chul until the end. He further increased the immersion of the play by convincingly expressing Seok-cheol's determined choice to live the rest of his life well.
Lee Dong-wook maximized the cool atmosphere unique to the noir genre. In a phone call with Oh Sang-yeol (Han Jae-young), "Why did you do that to me. Why did you try to kill me?" His cold eyes showed Seok-cheol's strong will. In the final battle that followed "I didn't like it. "The fact that I'm nothing different from a guy like you..." he said, exploding his mixed feelings of remorse, anger, and desperation, taking viewers' breath away.
It also added the weight of the play with melodramatic sensibility. The narration of Seok-cheol's reading of the letter to his lover Kang Mi-young (Lee Sung-kyung) was full of sorry and affection. After being imprisoned in prison, the scene of crying while listening to Mi-young's completed song on the radio made the small screen cry with a desperate message of love and regret.
As such, Lee Dong-wook expanded his acting spectrum once again, ranging from dry facial expressions steeped in his organizational life to pure heart for his first love and human appearance to protect his family. Showing his dense emotional acting and cool charisma at the same time, he left a deep afterimage on the small screen by completing 'Good Man' perfectly.
