SBS and SM Join Forces for New Gen Z Ballad Audition Show ‘Our Ballad’

SBS's new entertainment show 'Our Ballad', which will premiere in September, is a large-scale music audition in which the 1020 generation sings 『My Song』 anew. Participants with an average age of 18.2 are previewing an emotional bombing by remaking 'Everyone's Ballad'.
Producer Jung Ik-seung, who directed big auditions such as 'K-pop Star' and 'The Fan' and Netflix's 'Black and White Cook' writer Mo In-seol joined hands, and unlike the previous one, the way that 'the general public' rather than music experts participated as judges attracts attention. Along with nine representatives 'Top Baekgui', a 150-member public evaluation team will directly discover potential stars.
The delegation is expected to feature a variety of ballad lovers from generations, including Jeong Jae-hyung, Cha Tae-hyun, Choo Sung-hoon, Jeon Hyun-moo, Park Kyung-rim, Danny Koo, Crush, Jung Seung-hwan, and Oh My Girl Mimi. In particular, it is expected to add depth to the audition by adding different emotional eyes such as producer Jung Jae-hyung of 'My Tears Gather', producer Choo Sung-hoon of 「One Love」, and OST master Cha Tae-hyun.
Meanwhile, 'Our Ballad' is a project joined by audition master SBS, SM Entertainment, and SM C&C, and is currently recruiting a general public judge 'Top Baekgui' through the SBS website. Anyone over the age of 17 who loves ballads can participate, and the application deadline is 11:59 p.m. on August 10.
