Actor Bang Hyo-rin, who made her splendid commercial film debut through the Netflix series 「Ama」, has taken the first step of excitement after nearly a decade of waiting. From the moment I cried and read the lines at the audition hall to the time I ran breathlessly as a new actor in a work set in Chungmuro in the 1980s. Throughout the interview, Bang Hyo-rin said in a quiet but firm voice, `I thought the opportunity would come when the time came, and it was a long time, but I waited excitedly" expressed his feelings.

In 「Ama」, Bang Hyo-rin plays a new actor 'Jooae', a former nightclub tap dancer who admires Hee-ran (Lee Ha-nee), a top star of the time, and is selected for the leading role 'Ama' in the movie 'Ama Ma'am'. Having to pull off bold settings and imposing characters, he read the script for the first time, saying, `I really wanted to try it because the lines were so good"In terms of being a rookie character, it was very meaningful because it overlapped with myself."

The casting process was also like a drama. At the audition site, he said that the staff shed tears while reading the lines in front of director Lee Hae-young and director Cho. Bang Hyo-rin "I read all the lines together, and at some point, tears flowed down the director's eyes." At first, I thought it was reflected by the light, but you really shed tears."

In order to play the Joo-ae character, Bang Hyo-rin practiced tap dance and horseback riding right after casting and did not hesitate to practice three hours of dance a day. At that time, he gained weight at the director's order that he looked dwarfed. "He said he wanted his forearms to get a little thicker, so he went to the gym and ate a lot." The director checked it with a picture. I ate a lot of rice tea, followed the diet my trainer made me, and changed my body.'

As it deals with the background of the 1980s, provocative scenes such as smoking, swearing, and exposure were inevitable.

Bang Hyo-rin "There were a lot of revealing and stimulating gods, but she was only true to that situation at the time of filming"I don't know if there was a CG post-treatment, but I conducted it on the spot by fully consulting with the director on how far I would go through conti."

For the natural smoking scene, Bang Hyo-rin tried smoking cessation candles and learned the unfamiliar abusive acting by repeating it alone. "I didn't know how to practice smoking, so I went to the smoking booth and randomly smoked non-smoking candles. I asked smokers and kept trying. I was only true to the situation when shooting."

He also said he saw 'Madame', which became the motif of the work, again. Bang Hyo-rin said, `I watched it before, but I watched the movie again this time. In my memory at the time, I thought it would be more stimulating, but it wasn't surprisingly. I enjoyed watching it." As for the family's reaction, he imagined "Is it the wife?" and "Is it about a car?" I think he was more curious than repulsed."

Before making her name known to the world through this work, Bang Hyo-rin had to endure nearly a decade of obscurity. He entered the theater and film department and appeared in short films and independent films in 2015, but the opportunity for commercial work rarely came. Bang Hyo-lin endured his time by teaching children's acting or working numerous part-time jobs such as cafes, clothing stores, and department stores. I thought it would be okay when the time came, and I was more excited."

Bang Hyo-rin, who has a quiet and calm personality, also said that she meets a new self through acting. "It's usually quiet, but if you act, you become a completely different person. The bold character like Joo-ae was different from me, so I was very satisfied by proxy. I don't think I could have done the scene against Hee-ran. Joo-ae did it. That was amazing"

Finally, Bang Hyo-rin expressed her rookie-like attitude, saying, `Although it is not as clear as Joo-ae's line about what kind of work and what kind of role we will meet in the future, the excitement in waiting is still great.'

Meanwhile, 'Ama' was released to more than 190 countries around the world on Netflix on the 22nd.
