According to the Korea Film Council's integrated computer network for movie theater admission tickets, 'Face' attracted 281,925 viewers in the first weekend of its release alone, recording 317,243 cumulative viewers, ranking No. 1 in the Korean movie box office. The box office ranked second after the entire animation 'The Blade of Extinction in the Theater: Infinite Castle' (directed by Haruo Sotozaki).
'Face' draws attention as well-made productions made by veteran staff, along with a sharp theme consciousness reminiscent of director Yeon Sang-ho's early works, a solid production that supports it, a double mystery surrounding a character named Jung Young-hee (Shin Hyun-bin), and Ho-yeon, who represent Korean films, are capturing the theater industry and proving their box office potential.
CGV's egg index is also high at 94%, confirming the high satisfaction of visitors. Audiences who watched the movie over the weekend give high ratings to the movie's various attractions, and it is expected that it will continue to be a viral hit in the second week of its release.
'Face' is a story about a blind man who becomes a craftsman in all fields, his son, and his wife and mother who have been buried for 40 years. Park Jung-min, Kwon Hae-hyo, Shin Hyun-bin, Lim Sung-jae, and Han Ji-hyun appeared, and Yeon Sang-ho, director of 'Train to Busan'Ban Peninsula', took the megaphone. It will be released on the 11th.
