Jang Young-nam said at the press and distribution premiere of the movie 'It must be a secret' at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the 1st that `He is a mother who decides but lives as another person.'
Released on the 10th, 'It's a Secret' begins with a Canadian student's son, Jin-woo, coming unannounced with his girlfriend Jenny to the house of a teacher who has an unspeakable secret. Then, Jenny's parents visited Korea, depicting the story of family and 'secret' through unfamiliar and uncomfortable cohabitation between two different families under one roof, and director Kim Dae-hwan, who participated in the movie 'Parasite' scenario, took the megaphone.
Jang Young-nam played the role of Jeong-ha, a teacher who kept secrets. As for how he joined the film, he said, `CEO Cha Ji-hyun recommended me because it was produced by him,' and `This work is the first time I met director Kim Dae-hwan.'
He also expressed his feelings about playing the character of an LGBTQ mother in the play. When Jang Young-nam first received the scenario, he felt that the person he loved was special. I wondered what would happen if my mother did so. "The mother character I've played so far is a mother who sacrifices for her children and is worried, but I thought she was a person who lives as another person."
