Actor Park Jung-min (38) said, `I wanted to help you with no guarantee appearance.'

In the mystery film `Face' (directed by Yeon Sang-ho and produced by Wow Point), Park Jung-min played two roles: the youth of Lim Young-kyu, a visually impaired artisan, and his son Lim Dong-hwan. He met with Sports Chosun in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 15th and explained the appearance process of 'Face'.

Park Jung-min told the story that there was a love call from director Yeon Sang-ho in the process of first being offered 'Face'. He said "I got a call from director Yeon Sang-ho about casting offers, but when I first heard about this project, I wondered if this would work. 'Face' was originally my favorite book. When I talked about making a movie one day, I asked him to order it right away, but I actually felt good to get a call. In fact, it didn't seem like director Yeon Sang-ho contacted me because he remembered the promise in the past. Director Yeon Sang-ho said at the Toronto Film Festival, but he said, `I thought Park Jung-min would do it for me.' I had a good schedule and it was fun to work with director Yeon Sang-ho, so I chose it without much thought."

Park Jung-min also suggested a two-person role first for several reasons. First of all, I thought it would be effective. At first, I was only offered the role of my son, but after receiving the offer, I took out the comic book at home again, and since there are many young father roles, I thought it would be fun for my son to play this role in movies. Another thing is that I thought I wanted to play the role of a young father while doing this work. In fact, I asked Yeon Sang-ho if he had a young father's role, rather than first suggesting a two-person role, and how did he see through my thoughts and director Yeon Sang-ho immediately moved on, saying, `I'm thinking of a two-person role.'

Park Jung-min, who shared his mind with 'Face', which was produced with an ultra-low budget of KRW 200 million, also drew attention with his unconventional appearance as a no-guarantee. "At first, director Yeon Sang-ho said to the actors, "How much can you give?", but I just wanted to look good in this work. It won't be big, but I wanted the staff to pay for the dinner with my guarantee. Through this work, I wanted to look good to many people, and most of all, I wanted to help them enthusiastically. Of course, a running guarantee has been contracted according to the number of audiences since the release of 'Face'. Director Yeon Sang-ho distributed his shares to the staff and actors", he confessed.

'Face' is a story about a blind man who becomes a craftsman in all fields, his son, and his wife and mother who have been buried for 40 years. Park Jung-min, Kwon Hae-hyo, Shin Hyun-bin, Lim Sung-jae, and Han Ji-hyun appeared, and Yeon Sang-ho, director of 'Train to Busan'Ban Peninsula', took the megaphone.
