At the 30th Busan International Film Festival Actors House held at Sohyang Theater Shinhan Card Hall in Haeundae-gu, Busan on the 19th, Lee Byung-hun said, `I never imagined that the two works would go beyond popularity and cause any phenomenon.'
Actors House, which was newly established in 2021, is a signature program unique to the Busan International Film Festival where contemporary actors with acting skills and star quality tell honest and in-depth stories about their performances and works. This year, Lee Byung-hun, Son Ye-jin, Ninomiya Kazunari and Kim Yoo-jung were listed in the lineup.
Lee Byung-hun has received a lot of attention around the world over the past year. He played frontman in Netflix's original series 'Squid Game' Season 2 and 3, and played the role of a demon in the animated film 'K-Pop Demon Hunters'.
Lee Byung-hun says "Squid Game" and "K-Pop Demon Hunters" is probably the same for everyone who participated in the work as well as me. The producers don't know. I never thought that the two works would go beyond popularity and cause any phenomenon. If you talk to me about overseas projects, I'm still not used to it. It may sound like a lie, but after being very nervous and contemplating for a long period of time, you choose with a mindset of 'Era, I don't know' at the end. 'It's better to regret it than not to regret it. What's your life like?' It's my heart to."
Meanwhile, the 30th Busan International Film Festival will be held for 10 days from the 17th to the 26th around the Film Center in Haeundae-gu, Busan.
