The Story of Manager Kim depicts the process of a middle-aged man who lost everything he believed was valuable in an instant finding his true self, not a manager of a large company, through a long journey. Based on the best-selling novel of the same name with 10 million community views and 300,000 sales, Ryu Seung-ryong plays Kim Nak-soo in the play to unravel the life of a real office worker.
The teaser released showed Kim Nak-soo, a 25-year-old salesman, on his way to work. The expressionless face on the escalator seems to reflect the day of an ordinary office worker. However, as soon as they are surrounded by titles such as 'Seoulja', 'Big Enterprise', 'Director', they crumble and cause anxiety. It is a scene that foreshadows that the achievements that have been kept for life can collapse at any time.
The production team said, "We will capture the story of Kim Nak-su finding real happiness as cracks come into our tired daily lives. There will be a title defense battle that all modern people will sympathize with."
Meanwhile, JTBC's new Saturday-Sunday drama 「The Story of Manager Kim who works at a large company in Seoul」 will premiere at 10:40 p.m. on October 25.
