In entertainment, SLL label Studio Slam's 'Crime Scene Series' is a representative example. The original character of role-playing mystery entertainment, 'Crime Scene', drew attention in Korea through 'Crime Scene Returns', which was revived after seven years. Following this, 'Crime Scene Zero', which will be released globally on Netflix on September 23, is preparing to secure overseas fandom beyond Korea. As such, 'Crime Scene Series' continues to 'Returns' and 'Zero' and has established itself as an extended seasonal IP.
Studio Slam's other entertainment show 'Black and White Chef: Cooking Class Wars Season 1' set a new record for the first time in Korean entertainment history to top Netflix's Global Top 10 non-English TV category for three consecutive weeks. Based on the previous season's box office success, it plans to further strengthen its global fandom through Season 2 in the second half of this year. In addition, K-beauty's first super-large survival entertainment Just Make-up is also scheduled to be released on Coupang Play and Amazon Prime Video on October 3 and 10, respectively, raising expectations from domestic and foreign K-beauty fandom.
In the film category, the 'Criminal City' series has become a long-term franchise. The accumulated number of viewers in the series exceeded 40 million, and in particular, 'The Outlaws 4' exceeded 11.13 million in 36 days after its release, marking the shortest box office speed in the series. 'The Outlaws' is a success story of the Korean action film franchise, and it plans to continue the season's release and grow its fandom expandability.
In the music category, idol group 'Close Your Eyes' is drawing attention. Shortly after its debut, it entered the top of the music charts, and Close Your Eyes' second mini-album 'Snowy Summer', released on July 9, sold more than 200,000 copies on the day of its release and achieved the feat of winning three music shows. In addition, it is diversifying its contacts with fandom through domestic and international fan signings, pop-up stores, and goods, and plans to lay the foundation for sustainable growth based on active music activities in the future.
