So Ji-sub Cast as Lead in SBS Drama 'Director Kim'

Scheduled to be broadcast in 2026, "Director Kim" (played by Nam Dae-jung, director Lee Seung-young, production studio S, Fantagio) tells the story of Director Kim, who has been living as an ordinary head of household and a small citizen, who risks everything by revealing secrets that should never be known to find his beloved daughter. The original is a popular webtoon of the same name that ranked No. 1 on Naver's Tuesday Webtoon, and it is a spin-off work that integrates the worldview of 'lookism'Fight Self-Learning'Life Respect'.
The script is written by Nam Dae-jung, the author of the film 'Great Wish'30 Days', and director Lee Seung-young, who showed sensational production in 'Wonderful World'Tracer'Voice2, will take the megaphone. With the addition of So Ji-seop, expectations for the work are rising.
So Ji-seop lives as an employee of a small and medium-sized savings bank in the play, but in fact, he plays Min-ji's father, Kim, a former North and South Korean operatives. He is the No. 1 blacklist in North Korea and a dangerous person whose existence has been thoroughly concealed in South Korea, and jumps back into a huge whirlpool to save his daughter. So Ji-seop will show three-dimensional acting by playing sharp action and warm sides of his normal father at the same time.
The production team said, `With the solid original work, the character of 'Extraordinary Dad', and So Ji-sub's vivid performance, it will be a 'Year-Old Blockbuster' that will shake up 2026.' `Please look forward to his performance," he said.
