The 11th episode of JTBC's Saturday-Sunday drama 『100 Memories" (played by Yang Hee-seung and Kim Bo-ram, directed by Kim Sang-ho) recorded 6.7% nationwide and 6.3% in the Seoul metropolitan area. (Courtesy of Nielsen Korea, based on paid households) On this day, Seo Jong-hee (Shin Ye-eun) witnessed the moment when her best friend Ko Young-rye (Kim Da-mi) and her first love Han Jae-pil (Huh Nam-jun) confirmed their love. It was Jong-hee who cared and liked the two more than anyone else, so the jealousy that could not be happy together came even more painful.
In the meantime, Youngrye was offered to participate in Miss Korea by Director Michelle (Woo Mi-hwa). Natural and fresh Yeongrye masks, not artificial ones, have triggered the director's intuition that has produced many Miss Korea over the past 20 years. Young-rye, who hesitated about the scholarship she would receive if she became Jin, decided to support her mother (Lee Jung-eun). The mother, who only said "Don't do it" countless times while raising the honor, encouraged her daughter to push her properly this time. Meanwhile, Jong-hee, who heard the news of Young-rye through Ko Young-sik (Jeon Sung-woo), also decided to participate in Miss Korea for a long-term dream and persuaded foster mother Mi-suk (Seo Jae-hee).
Young-rye and Jong-hee met at the Seoul regional qualification registration site for the first time in a long time. Young-rye was surprised by the unexpected appearance of her friend, and most of all, she felt bad that she couldn't tell her that she was dating Jae-pil. However, Jong-hee laughed it off, congratulating him, as if he had already noticed. He also understood that his dream of going to college was the reason for his participation. However, even though he said he would do his best to play fair, Jong-hee's eyes that "This time will never be easy" showed a willingness to go beyond Yeongrye.
Young-rye and Jong-hee, who entered the finals as candidates for Seoul side by side and entered the camp, were assigned the same room again like fate. However, unlike the days of the 3rd room of the Cheong-a Transportation Dormitory, there is now a mixture of invisible and subtle emotions between the two. Jong-hee, who is active, even volunteered to be the class president with the goal of scoring extra points in the friendship, drew attention for her perfect choreography and attitude, and Young-rye continued to practice alone until late at night to overcome the complex of being physically awkward.
While the two friends were fiercely preparing for the competition, Jong-hee's brother Seo Jong-nam (Jeong Jae-kwang) and Roh Sang-sik (Park Ji-hwan), who was the head of the Cheong-a Transportation Labor Department, met at the daily job market as if it were a prank of fate. And they found out that they were chasing the same person. By chance, those who saw Jong-hee on the news of the Miss Korea competition on TV felt that she had a strong 'back' and eventually visited the chairman's inexperience. However, Sook-soo did not fall for the threat of common sense to spill it to the media, revealing that Jong-hee was an attempted murder convict. Instead, he was angry at his foster daughter's unbearable dark past. In response, he slapped Jong-hee on the cheek and pressed her to become Jin somehow.
Young-rye witnessed this worst moment. Jong-hee, who saw Young-rye and Jae-pil, who spent sweet and happy time in front of the camp, was mortified and ashamed of her life compared so much with her friend. In addition, when Yeongrye shook her, asking why she lived a servile life like Seo Jong-hee, she eventually burst her emotions that she had been pressing for seven years. The reason why I had to leave Cheong-a-un, where I had the happiest time, and the reason why I had to say goodbye to my favorite Jae-pil while talking about things I didn't mean to do, all put a dagger on Yeong-rye. Jealousy, resentment, and loneliness exploded at once, and Jong-hee eventually sat back and shed tears. Yeongrye, who finally realized Jong-hee's sacrifice, also collapsed with regret and sadness.
On the eve of Miss Korea's eve after a stormy night, Young-rye and Jong-hee, who entered the inevitable competition stage, did their best. I thought it would end safely, but Jong-hee's gaze, which was leaving, stopped in the middle of the audience. There was common sense holding one's past seven years ago. Jong-hee froze on the spot at the gaze that glared at him like a grim reaper.
With only one episode left until the final episode, '100 Memories' has divided the viewers between likes and dislikes by putting a unrequited love narrative in the story of two friends who reunited seven years later. It was pointed out that the two friends are engaged in a war of nerves between men and that "It is one-dimensional, is it a friendship play?" Following this, attention is focused on how it will end as it is far from the play that viewers expected at the beginning, drawing images of the two who faced off as a Miss Korea match.
The final episode of '100 Memories' will air on JTBC at 10:30 p.m. on the 19th.
