Cosmic Mary (directed by Song Hyun-wook, Hwang In-hyuk, scripted by Lee Ha-na, produced by Samhwa Networks and Studio S), which first aired on the 10th, depicts a sweet and cut romance between two men and women who began their disguised marriage for 90 days to protect the giveaway of a high-end honeymoon house. Immediately after the broadcast, the favorable reviews of "The Essence of Realistic Rococo" continued, and it started off well.
Choi Woo-sik plays Kim Woo-ju, the fourth reader of the confectionery master 'Myeongsundang'. On the outside, he is a calm and principled personality, but through an unexpected incident, he is entangled with Yumeri, played by Jung So-min, and is caught up in a disguised marriage.
In the 1st and 2nd episodes, Choi Woo-sik caught the attention of viewers at once with his life-friendly comic performance that naturally exchanged laughter and emotions depending on the situation. Kim Woo-joo's first narrative was completed through detailed performances such as happening in the middle of the road, warm consideration in the hospital, and episodes of left-handedness to defend the prize.
In particular, he perfectly coordinated the dialogue tempo, facial expression timing, and breathing with Jung So-min, drawing a response that it was the `Standard of Life Acting'\`````````````````. Beyond simple laughter points, the three-dimensionality of the character who does not miss the humanity in the situation stood out. Immediately after the broadcast, online communities and social media received responses such as "Choi Woo-sik's comic acting is crazy,"Choi Woo-sik's chemistry with Jung So-min is all-time great,"Kim Woo-joo's character is so lovely," and "Roko is also Choi Woo-sik."
Choi Woo-sik, who has accumulated his own colors in 'Parasite', 'That Year We Are', 'Killer & Difficulty', and 'Melo Movie', proved the true value of the Rocco genre again with his emotional performance through this work. Expectations are high on what kind of emotional inflection point Kim Woo-joo will face in unpredictable situations and what kind of acting spectrum Choi Woo-sik will show.
Meanwhile, SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 'WJMerimi' airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 p.m.
