KBS, APEC Broadcasting Corporation Launch Ceremony...Preparations to produce international signals begin in earnest

The KBS president, key executives and APEC broadcasting companies attended the opening ceremony to strengthen their commitment to take responsibility for national international events as a public broadcaster. The event was held in the order of ▲ APEC Broadcasting Company Introduction Video Screening (VCR) ▲ KBS President and Director Encouragement ▲ Uniform Delivery Ceremony ▲ Commemorative Shooting, and the uniforms symbolizing KBS' identity and responsibility were delivered at the uniform delivery ceremony, adding to the meaning.
KBS President Park Jang-beom emphasized at the opening ceremony that `It is an honor for KBS to produce an international signal as an APEC network again in 20 years. At the same time, it is our responsibility.'," he stressed.
During the APEC period, there will be various events in Gyeongju, including the 1st and 2nd summits attended by the leaders of 21 member countries, the first ladies' friendship events sharing the beauty of our cultural heritage, and cultural dinners to share the essence of K-culture.
The APEC host broadcaster KBS is building a new International Media Center (IMC) next to the Hwabaek Convention Center in Gyeongju, the venue of the APEC summit, to produce all the images inside and outside the event as international signals that people around the world can share.
The International Media Center, where KBS's capabilities are gathered, will complete all preparations to announce the successful hosting of APEC and begin producing international signals in earnest with the opening ceremony on October 27.
