Lee Jae-wook played Baek Do-ha, an architect with outstanding skills, in KBS2's new Saturday-Sunday drama 「The Last Summer」 (written by Jeon Yu-ri and directed by Min Yeon-hong), which premiered on the 1st.
On this day's broadcast, Doha was shown returning to Pathan-myeon for the first time in two years. Ha-kyung (Choi Sung-eun), who was selling a peanut restaurant, sent a certificate of contents and the reunion between the two took place. Doha entered the peanut house with a relaxed attitude, but there was a strange tension between the two, raising questions.
The conflict then deepened as Doha tackled Ha-kyung's ongoing fence demolition project. In the end, Hakyung broke down the fence of the peanut house to prove that the fence and the flood had nothing to do with it, and accidentally broke down the fence. Doha settled this together, but once again nailed that it could not sell a peanut restaurant.
At the end of the broadcast, memories of Doha and Hakyung, who spent every summer together, are depicted, and Doha's past of silently accepting Hakyung who throws herself out in mourning has been revealed, adding to the curiosity. Doha said to Ha Kyung, who reunited after two years, "'Do you still hate me that much?," he asked, leaving a deep lingering impression.
Lee Jae-wook led the center of the play by melting complex emotions with his calm and firm eyes. While Doha and Ha-kyung's narratives, which have changed from best friends to bitter rivals, are gradually taking off the veil, attention is being paid to Lee Jae-wook's performance in "Last Summer."
Meanwhile, KBS2 'Last Summer' starring Lee Jae-wook will air every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 p.m.
