Gong Hyo-jin said, `At the beginning of the movie, I talked with Kim Dong-wook about making a real couple-like chemistry. I wanted to hide my estranged marital relationship and look like a wife who cares about her appearance. In such a relationship, I wanted to show the chemistry of the couple who were in dispute because they were not compromised with their husbandsDuring the film, director Jungwoo Ha had no special direction. We just tried to be a surreal couple" he said.
Kim Dong-wook said, `There were some works that showed a bored couple in the drama. But we wanted to look unusual and not clichéd. I tried to express the couple's ennui in detail, but I think it would be a relief if I saw such a part."
In response, "It was difficult to sympathize with the appearance of the couple downstairs because Kim Dong-wook and I were both newly married, but I tried to listen to the stories of married couples and refer to them."
'People Upstairs' is a story about a couple upstairs and a couple downstairs having a night's dinner together due to the noise between floors every night. Jungwoo Ha, Gong Hyo-jin, Kim Dong-wook, and Lee Ha-nui appeared, and it is Jungwoo Ha's fourth directorial production after 'Roller Coaster'Huh Sam-gwan''Robbie'.
