JTBC's Saturday-Sunday Drama 'The Story of Manager Kim who works for a large company in Seoul's own company ' (hereinafter 'The Story of Manager Kim') is on a box office run, sweeping all three beats of ratings, popularity, and OTT rankings through word of mouth.

The story of Manager Kim draws sympathy from men and women of all ages by depicting the daily life of ordinary patriarch Kim Nak-soo (Ryu Seung-ryong), his family, and employees of the ACT conglomerate. In particular, the drama proved its overwhelming popularity by topping Korea's TOP TV show on Netflix's official chart. On top of that, according to a survey conducted by Good Data Corporation (Fundex), a K-content analysis agency, it ranked second in the topicality ranking of TV dramas in the fourth week of October, and the lead actor Ryu Seung-ryong also swept the topicality ranking of actors and was listed in the 'national drama' rank.

The ratings are also continuing their relentless moves, drawing an upward curve every time. In the fourth episode, which aired on the 2nd, it broke its own highest ratings and was at the center of the weekend's small screen. Various communities and social media have received favorable reviews for the 'Chief Kim's Story' and viewers are responding enthusiastically.




The strength of 'Chief Kim's story is the story that sharply captures the concerns and conflicts of each generation and the reality of the family and the realistic character play. From sensuous visual beauty, sophisticated directing, and music incorporated into each scene, high-quality production maximizes the immersion of the drama. Starting with Ryu Seung-ryong (played by Kim Nak-soo), Kim's family, including Chung Sang-bin (Park Ha-jin) and Cha Kang-yoon (Kim Soo-gyeom), and the ACT staff's performances add to the realism and weight of the work.
