The incident surfaced on the 31st of last month when it was revealed that the star entertainment producer, who continues a series of popular entertainment series, was sued for forced harassment. B, who sued entertainment producer A, filed a complaint with Mapo Police Station in Seoul in August claiming A's alleged forced harassment, and has already completed an investigation into the victim. Mr. B, who claims the damage, was known to have participated as a co-producer of the program with Mr. A, which further increased the shock.
According to B's claim, A attempted unwanted physical contact (the act of rubbing the forearms and necks) during the second round of a company dinner near Sangam on August 14, and when he refused to do so, he was notified of his departure from the program five days later along with desecration of his character. Lee Eun-eui, B's legal representative, then raised controversy by stating in a press release on the 3rd that A, who was identified as the perpetrator, was the director of tvN 'Six Sense: City Tour 2' (hereinafter 'Six Sense 2'.
A's legal representative, lawyer Cheongchul Lee Kyung-joon of the law firm, also explained on the 3rd, the same day as B's lawyer, that "B, who is unilaterally claiming the damage, was the one whose transfer from the existing team was decided on August 20 due to the situation in which his juniors, colleagues, seniors, and outside cooperative personnel complained of B's grievances."
In addition, `B's words and actions during the program production process led to continuous and repetitive conflicts between B and the members of the program team, and in the end, communication with each other was cut off to the extent that key personnel essential to the work could not even make eye contact with B.'"A desperately tried to seal this situation and promote the project normally, but even the conversations he had in that part resulted in a dispute with B within the team."
In addition, Mr. A also complained of unfairness about the forced harassment issue that Mr. B strongly insisted on, saying, "At the time of the dinner, there was only contact at the level of tapping each other's shoulders or arming each other on the street where many passers-by and many colleagues were together." Then "B also made contact, such as touching A's shoulder, as usual." Videos of B trying to wrap his arm around A's shoulder, which B touched A's shoulder sitting still or approached A walking ahead, were secured. Mr. A and this law firm will faithfully investigate the investigation agency and prove their innocence clearly revealed in specific facts" he said.
tvN is also in trouble as the conflict between A, tvN's leading entertainment producer, and B, who worked as a co-producer, is sharply opposed. Moreover, when it was revealed that Mr. A was the producer of 'Six Sense 2', tvN was also on fire. In August, when the police investigation was conducted earlier, tvN also admitted to some of the sexual harassments of the director A, who was identified as the perpetrator through an internal investigation, but had made a judgment that there was no charge against retaliatory dropouts and workplace harassment. However, both A and B have filed objections to this judgment and have been confronting each other for two months.
The new season of `Six Sense 2" was launched on the 30th of last month, and just a day after its first broadcast, the main director's allegations of forced harassment became controversial, and the program was also hit directly. Viewers are showing a cold reaction to 'Six Sense 2', which caused noise from the first broadcast.
tvN has not been able to present any significant solution for five days of sensitive harassment controversy, increasing viewers' frustration. 'Six Sense 2', which will be produced in a total of 10 episodes, has not yet finished filming all episodes and has yet to decide whether to broadcast the 2nd episode of 'Six Sense 2', which will be broadcasted on the 6th. Through Sports Chosun on the 4th, tvN showed a cautious attitude, saying, `We are currently in internal discussions about the replacement of the directing and the resumption of broadcasting of 'Six Sense 2.'
