The Youngjin Committee and the Youngdeung Committee signed a business agreement on joint use of movie information and data linkage

On the 24th, the Film Promotion Committee (Chairman Han Sang-joon, hereinafter referred to as Youngjin Committee) signed a business agreement on joint use of film information and data linkage with the Video Rating Committee (Chairman Kim Byung-jae, hereinafter referred to as Youngjin Committee) at the headquarters of the Youngjin Committee.

Through this agreement, the two institutions will jointly utilize film information and rating information held by each institution and promote data linkage. Through this, we plan not only to increase the accessibility and utilization of information, but also to promote the establishment and development of a data ecosystem in the Korean film industry.

Since March, the Korean Film Commission has completed the establishment of a linkage system while discussing improving the business process for linking movie information. In particular, by linking the recognition information of independent art films, the government will improve the administrative work of the public of both institutions and simplify submission documents to increase user convenience. Through this agreement, the two organizations agreed to strengthen cooperation in areas such as ▲ joint use of movie information ▲ establishing a linked system and enhancing the use of movie standard codes ▲ streamlining administrative work ▲ cooperation in collecting and utilizing movie and online video information ▲ promoting AI-based data administration.

"This agreement is an important starting point for organically linking film information and rating information to raise the data base of the Korean film industry to the next level. We will work closely with the Korea Media Rating Board to create an AI-based film industry data ecosystem that is beneficial to both industrial sites and audiences," said Han Sang-joon, chairman of the Korea Film Council.

Kim Byung-jae, Chairman of the Yeongdeung Committee, also said "We expect this agreement to further increase the accessibility and utilization of movie information and rating information, strengthening the foundation for providing more accurate and efficient rating classification services."," he said.

Through close consultations, the Youngjin Committee and the Youngdeung Committee plan to continue to promote the advancement of public services for both the film industry and the audience, such as expanding the scope of joint use of film information and data connection, and establishing a film industry data ecosystem.
