NCT Doyoung Honors Yoon Do-hyun’s Cancer Battle Through Soulful Collaboration

Doyoung recently met with Sports Chosun at a cafe in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, and said, `I felt a great sense of responsibility to receive a song that Yoon Do-hyun made while fighting cancer.'
Doyoung, who returned as a solo artist about a year and two months after his first solo album in April last year 'Youth's Formal', sings 'The Power to Dream' through his second solo album 'Sore'.
In particular, a large number of legendary artists participated to convey this message more authenticly. Through collaboration with iconic musicians of rock music such as YB Yoon Do-hyun, Jaurim Kim Yoon-ah, and Nell Kim Jong-wan, Do-young will show a richer and deeper musical spectrum.
"If you look at the credits of the work team, there are many artists who have become my dream. I'm thankful that an album with those people came out, so I think it's an album that fulfilled my dream. I wanted to work with artists I respect since my first album. It seems that what has been accumulated since then has been revealed in the second album. I think there is something surprising about the participation of more seniors. Both the first and second albums. The composers there are fans of me."

Yoon Do-hyun's 'Silent' was known as a song he wrote about fighting cancer, drawing attention. Doyoung said "At first, I was looking forward to it and excited, but after hearing the story, I felt a sense of duty. "Since it was a precious song with a story, you must have given it with a big heart, but I felt a great responsibility to do well."
As much as I worked with them, questions were also asked about the correlation between idol music and non-idol music.
"I actually did this much of an idol, but I think I really have a little bit of a preconceived notion. It is a preconceived notion that idol music will not have this form. If you listen to idol music, there are many genres of bossa nova, rap, reggae, and rock. Performance is also important and it can be seen as polarized because it is visually popular, but I don't think it's a singer's difference depending on who sings without boundaries, but I don't think it's music that has a very different meaning. All the artists are constantly trying to make good music. If you just look at it differently, it's only the artist difference, but the era when everyone pursues musical diversity and speaks as a genre seems to have passed. Although I'm an idol, I think the quality of idol music has improved a lot. I want you to know that."
