The new special unit of SEVENTEEN, CxM(S.Coups X Mingyu0, broke the initial sales (the album sales for a week immediately after its release) of the K-pop unit album.

According to Hanteo Chart, S.Coups X Mingyu's first mini album 'HYPE VIBES' has surpassed 820,000 cumulative sales today (2nd), the fourth day of its release. This is an achievement that exceeds the previous record of the largest initial sales (787,046 copies) of K-pop unit albums. As the initial sales tally period is more than three days away, attention is also being paid to the new record that these units will set.

The popularity of 'HYPE VIBES' was predicted early on. The album sold more than 600,000 copies on the day it was released. This is also the highest ever sales volume on the first day of the K-pop unit album. Shinbo went straight to the top of Hanteo Chart's daily record chart and also topped Japan's Oricon's latest 'Daily Album Ranking' (September 30). It remained at the top of China's largest music platform QQ Music's 'Digital Best Album Chart' EP category for three consecutive days.

The title song '5, 4, 3 (Pretty Woman) (feat. Lay Bankz)' was a hot topic even before the official release. The song's challenge video, which was released in a surprise move on the 19th of last month, has been played more than 180 million times, giving the green light to its success. The song topped the real-time Bugs chart on the day of its release, and not only the title song but also all the songs in the album were successful in the chart on Melon 'Top 100'.

S.Coups X Mingyu will appear on Mnet 'M Countdown' to perform a new song today. It also accelerates the challenge craze. Earlier, two more challenges and personal videos were released together, drawing favorable responses from fans.
