Seventeen’s CxM Dominate Japan’s Oricon Chart with Record-Breaking Mini Album ‘HYPE VIBES’

The two's first mini-album 'HYPE VIBES', united as a special unit, topped Japan's Oricon weekly album chart.
According to Japan's Oricon on the 7th, Seventeen S.Coups X Mingyu's 'HYPE VIBES' sold 103,000 copies in the first week of its release and topped the 'Weekly Album Rankings' on October 13. Right after its release, it topped 'Daily Album Rankings' and remained at the top for three consecutive days, proving its unrivaled popularity in Japan.
'HYPE VIBES' swept major Japanese music charts upon its release. It has remained at the top of Line Music's real-time charts, as well as topping iTunes Japan 'Top Album'. The initial sales exceeded 880,000 copies, setting a new record for a K-pop unit album. It also topped the daily and weekly charts in China's QQ Music 'Digital Best Seller Album' and continues to be a global box office hit.
The title song '5, 4, 3 (Pretty Woman) (feat. Lay Bankz)' is receiving explosive responses in Korea as well. Shortly after its release, it topped the real-time Bugs chart and succeeded in charting all of Melon 'Top 100'. Foreign media praised the charm of 'HYPE VIBES', saying that "a song that directly expresses intense emotions" and "unresistible disco sensibility".
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN prepared a special meeting with fans for the Chuseok holiday. It will stream live concerts on its official YouTube channel at 6 p.m. on the 7th to communicate with global fans.
