The field of 'lifelong kendo' has opened wide.

The first Korea Senior National Kendo Competition was held at the Kendo Training Center in Gyeonggi Province on the 28th.

Hosted by the Korea Senior Kendo Association (KSK), a group of lifelong kendoers aged 65 and older, a total of 33 senior kendoers from all over the country participated in the competition.

It was divided into each age group and each group and was held in a single-minded and single-game tournament format for three minutes. The contest, which was attended by senior kendo people born in 1965 and older, added significance, with four kendo people born in 1950 and older, creating an 86-year-old winner.

The Senior Gumwoo Association, which was launched in September last year with the aim of developing kendo and promoting the health of the elderly, successfully held its first competition after a long preparation, including a visit to the Japanese Senior Gumwoo Association. We plan to continue active activities such as summer training sessions in Maydang and the second half of autumn competitions. It is also preparing for an international exchange war between Japan and Taiwan.
