Actor Cha Cha Joo-young (35) expressed her feelings about trying the historical drama title role.

Cha Joo-young met with Sports Chosun at a cafe in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 13th to have an interview with the end of tvN X TVing original drama 'Wonkyung' (written by Lee Young-mi, directed by Kim Sang-ho) and mentioned Queen Wonkyung, who was the first title role. Cha Joo-young said, `It was very burdensome because I had to play the genre of historical drama in my first lead role in the title role.'

Then "It's a work that I loved a lot about Warnak, so I personally have a lot of regrets." I know there have been a lot of stories even before and after it started. It seems that there are some people who are uncomfortable to see because we cannot ignore the story of history, and yet there were things we tried and we had to think about them carefully while making them. From Won-kyung's point of view, he may have been repulsed by the work with female narratives, but he acted with all his heart to make it not to be a nuisance, and he decided to make it well so that it could be explained. So it was difficult. I think there were frustrating things and sorry things after making it because I had to contain so many stories.

Cha Joo-young "It was difficult because it was a story of a real person. I could only say it was difficult, and I was too careful. Compared to King Taejong Yi Bang-won, King Taejo Yi Seong-gye, and King Sejong, there were not many people left who were Queen Won-kyung. So I should have created the empty parts, but there was a part that I had to fill in with the feelings I felt. History sometimes felt unfriendly, and I thought about it in my own way, but I tried to do my work based on emotions without touching the big stem while creating a recreation of drama, and I think I thought of creating new things that were not eroded into it, although I didn't refer to it."

As for the reason for choosing 'Wonkyung', Cha Joo-young said "I think it was closest to the historical drama I wanted to do. I thought I might be able to quench my thirst. Although it required great determination, how many works deal with a person's life story. I couldn't find a reason not to. So I tried to do it boldly.'

It was 'Wonder', but there was a heavy burden throughout the filming. Cha Joo-young "The burden has not been relieved. I wanted to run away a lot from the scene, and it was difficult to be brazen. If I showed weakness, I thought this work would get lost. All I had to do was inject myself into what I was doing and hold out while winning my mind. I knew that I should not collapse, act as if I were confident so that my team members could follow me, so my psychological state and the feelings Queen Wonkyung felt in the drama, why she had no choice but to be confident. I think it was connected with me how I had to keep my firmness and not show my anxious feelings amid the wind and waves."

Cha Joo-young continued "If you do historical dramas, you lose a lot. I lose my hair and get a neck disc. There was a hard part. Nevertheless, if I can draw another person, I think I can show you while controlling my seasoned acting a little bit after a while."

"Wongyeong" is a story about a king and a queen who gained power with her husband, King Taejong, and her husband and wife. Cha Joo-young played Queen Won-kyung (Cha Joo-young), who won power with Taejong Lee Bang-won (Lee Hyun-wook) in the play. 'Wonkyung' ended in favorable reviews, recording a 6.6% viewer rating in the final episode. (National standard for Nielsen Korea paid households)
