The agency Wonhundred "Today (17th), THE BOYZ member Sangyeon entered the Nonsan Training Center located in Yeonmu-eup, Nonsan-si, Chungcheongnam-do. After completing basic military training, Sangyeon said, "I will continue my active service in the Army's military band."
Sang-yeon said, "I'm very nervous and strange to be the first member of THE BOYZ to join the military. I'll get trained well and come back healthy!" expressed his feelings about joining the army.
All the members of The Boyz attended the enlistment site on this day, showing their strong loyalty to see off their eldest brother, Sang-yeon, cheering for a new start.
Sangyeon debuted as THE BOYZ in 2017 and has been loved by many fans for releasing albums that show distinct group colors.
In particular, from 2024, he proved another possibility as a musical actor by appearing one after another in Japan, starting with the musical 'Crash Landing of Love' and the domestic musical 'Bloody Love'.
On top of that, he continued to prepare '2025 Film Open: Above 淵展 'Sang Series' and The Boyz's 3rd regular album 'Unexpected' before joining the army. Sang-yeon, who did his best to make happy memories with his fans until the end, will return with a more mature appearance after serving in the military.
Meanwhile, the 3rd full-length album 'Unexpected' involving Sangyeon will be released on various online music sites at 6 p.m. today (17th).
