On the 31st, the Korean Red Cross (Chairman Kim Cheol-soo) announced that BTS V donated 200 million won to the victims of the recent large forest fire and to firefighters devoted to the scene.
Of this donation, 100 million won will be used to support emergency relief and recovery for victims of forest fires, such as Sancheong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, Uiseong-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and Ulju-gun, Ulsan. The remaining 100 million won will be used to support the recovery and treatment of firefighters who have worked hard to extinguish fires and save lives at the site.
"I have deep respect for those who were affected by the sudden disaster, firefighters, firefighters, firefighters, and volunteers who are struggling at the front line every day at risk. I felt so bad watching the news when I was on a roll call in the evening during my military service, and I felt even more sad to think that there could be someone in my comrades' families who suffered damage. Fortunately, the forest fire was almost contained, but I hope there will be no more casualties and I hope my donation will be of little help."
Chairman of the Korean Red Cross Kim Cheol-soo expressed his gratitude for the precious donation to protect the safety and lives of the people"We will execute transparently and responsibly so that donations can be a real force for the victims and firefighters."
BTS previously did a good job by donating 1 billion won from Jungkook and 100 million won from J-Hope and Suga, respectively.
