Wheesung was found dead at his home in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul on the 10th. He was 43.
Police and fire authorities, who were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report from the Wheesung family, believe that a considerable amount of time has passed since the death, and are investigating the specific cause of death.
Police said they have not found any criminal charges, such as signs of external invasion, and are investigating whether they will die and the details of their deaths.
Wheesung was scheduled to hold a joint concert 'The Story' with singer KCM at the Daegu Exco Auditorium on the 15th.
Wheesung became a huge hit in 2002 with his first album 'Like a Movie' as soon as he made his debut. Wheesung was charged with administering propofol 12 times between September and November 2019 and sentenced to one year in prison and two years of probation in 2021. On March and 4, 2020, he was found collapsed after being hit with etomidate, a sleep-inducing anesthetic, in the bathroom of a building in Songpa-gu and Gwangjin-gu.
