""I've been tricked" (written by Lim Sang-chun/directed by Kim Won-seok) is a Netflix series about the adventurous life of Ae-soon (IU) and Gwansik (Park Bo-gum) who were born in Jeju. Lee Soo-mi played the role of Yang Im, the haenyeo of Ae-soon in the play, showing a strong side like 'Ae-soon's guardian'.
Yang-im, who is warm and strong, cared about Ae-soon, who lost her parents when she was young, and lived a hard life, like her nephew, and shared the joy, sorrow, and sorrow of her life. In addition to being relentless and straightforward to Park Mak-cheon (Kim Yong-rim) and her mother-in-law Kwon Gye-ok (Oh Min-ae), who harasses Ae-soon, she gives warmth by taking care of Ae-soon before anyone else when a hard time comes.
Lee Soo-mi caught the eye by expressing Yang-im, who has a unique background as a haenyeo, with a slick yet delicate acting. As a native of Jeju, he spoke the natural Jeju dialect and further enhanced the character's personality, and he freely traveled from restrained to explosive emotions to increase the immersion of the play.
In addition, she added to the fun of the play with her colleagues Yeom Hye-ran, Baek Ji-won, and Cha Mi-kyung. The appearance of comforting each other's pain even though they exchange pleasant jokes while talking together contains the emotions of the times. Lee Soo-mi vividly conveyed the strong affection of Jeju haenyeo through a natural ensemble with fellow haenyeo.
Lee Soo-mi, who has accumulated solid acting skills through her long experience in the theater stage, made a strong impression even after her short appearance as a housework helper Wang Yi-mo in the Wise Doctor Life series. Later, in 'Mask Girl', Ahn Eun-sook, an intense villain who shakes the life of the protagonist, was decomposed to maximize the tension of the play with a thrilling villain's acting.
Proving a wide range of acting spectrum by digesting various characters in each piece, he successfully completed another challenge with 'I was completely fooled'.
