Lee Sung-jong recently won a civil lawsuit against his former agency, SPK Entertainment (CEO Kim Seung-pil), over unpaid settlement payments.
Lee Sung-jong, who signed an exclusive contract with SPK Entertainment in August 2022, was not provided with the necessary support for broadcast appearances, fan meetings, and album releases, including the down payment promised at the time of the contract.
The request for correction of the content certification and breach of contract to SPK Entertainment was not accepted, and Lee Seong-jong notified the termination of the exclusive contract last year due to continued non-response. Since then, a compulsory adjustment has been established in the application for an injunction to suspend the validity of the exclusive contract, making it a body of freedom.
At the time, Lee Sung-jong also filed a lawsuit to pay settlement fees for the entire two-year activities, including settlement fees for Infinite activities, YouTube appearances, and Japanese fan meetings. And on the 28th of last month, more than a year after filing the lawsuit, he finally won the lawsuit.
The court ruled that the Defendant (SPK Entertainment) shall pay the Plaintiff (Lee Sung-jong) the money calculated at a rate of 6% per year from April 21, 2023 to February 28, 2023 and 12% per year from the next day to the date of full payment.
Meanwhile, INFINITE, to which Lee Sung-jong belongs, released its 8th mini album 'LIKE INFINITE' on the 6th and announced a spectacular return to the music industry. On April 12 and 13, an encore concert for the 15th anniversary of his debut will be held at Inspire Arena in Yeongjong-do, Incheon, and will meet with fans.
