Kim Ho-joong, the 2nd trial of the drunk hit-and-run appeal trial today (19th)...the possibility of closing arguments

Singer Kim Ho-joong, who was sentenced to prison for drunk hit-and-run, will hold the second trial of the appeals court.

On the morning of the 19th, the second trial of the appeals court will be held against Kim Ho-joong, who was indicted on charges of violating the law on aggravated punishment of certain crimes (hazardous driving injuries) at the Seoul Central District Court's 5-3 hearing (Chief Judge Kim Ji-sun, So Byung-jin, and Kim Yong-joong).

On the last date, the court said it would proceed with the final argument with the defendant's newspaper against Kim Ho-joong. As a result, there is a high possibility that the appeals process will be terminated.

In May last year, Kim Ho-joong is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol on a road in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and running away after hitting a taxi on the opposite road. Since then, there has been a charge of urging manager Jang to give false information. In the process, Lee Kwang-deuk, former CEO of his agency, Thinking Entertainment, and former head of the headquarters were indicted together on charges of destroying evidence, including removing the black box.

In November last year, the first trial sentenced Kim Ho-joong to two and a half years in prison on charges of dangerous driving injuries, escape injuries, and inaction after accidents under the Road Traffic Act. Representative Lee and the former head of the headquarters were sentenced to two years in prison and one and a half years in prison, respectively, and manager Jang was sentenced to one year in prison and two years of probation.

Kim Ho-joong immediately appealed. In the first trial of the appeals court held last month, Kim Ho-joong admitted to driving under the influence of alcohol, but denied all such things as drunk driving. Kim Ho-joong appealed for leniency by submitting a 100-page letter of apology. He also sent a letter to his fans in prison "Dear my family. I miss you and miss you so much."
