Koo Jun-yeob Designs Statue for Late Wife as Final Gift

Clon Koo Jun-yeop makes his own statue of his deceased wife Seo Hee-won.

Local Chinese media, including Su Sui Entertainment, reported on the 18th that `Koo Jun-yeop and his designer friend designed the statue of Seo Hee-won themselves.'

The media reported that `Koo Jun-yeop wanted his favorite part to be reflected in the statue. This is Koo's last gift to Seo Hee-won." Seo's family also praised Koo's idea. Seo Hee-won's statue is scheduled to be completed this year. The statue will be erected in a famous monument forest about 400m away from the rose garden where the remains of the deceased are buried, and the unveiling ceremony of the statue will be held behind closed doors," he said.

Koo Joon-yeop and Seo Hee-won got married in 2022. At that time, the two moved many people with their movie-like love story. Koo Joon-yeop and Seo Hee-won broke up while dating in the past, and after that, Seo Hee-won married Chinese businessman Wang So-bi in 2011 and had one son and one daughter. Seo Hee-won divorced Wang So-bi in 2021, and when Koo Joon-yeop heard the news, they reunited.

But happiness was short. Seo Hee-won died of acute pneumonia during a trip to Japan on February 2 ahead of her third wedding anniversary. Koo Jun-yeop spent his days in tears with all food and drink, and 42 days after Seo Hee-won's death, he laid his remains in Geumbosan Mountain, Taiwan.

With Seo Hee-won's death, the parental rights of the two children went to their ex-husband Wang So-bi. Although many expressed concern that Wang So-so, who is in debt worth 200 billion won, had control of two-thirds of the legacy left by Seo Hee-won, Koo Joon-yeop declared that he would hand over his rights to the inheritance to his mother-in-law and take legal action to prevent bad people from accessing the children's property and authority.
