Actor Lee Young-ae has returned to the theater stage after 32 years. It is the first stage of the play since 1993 'Jajangmyeon'.

On the 12th, Lee Young-ae revealed the first reading scene of her new play 'Heda Gabler' on her account.

The play 'Hedda Gabler' is a new production play presented to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the opening of the LG Art Center. Lee Young-ae plays 'Hedda', which goes by a female Hamlet.




All actors, including Lee Young-ae, will appear in the previous episode as a one-cast at the LG Signature Hall from May 7 to June 8.

Hedda Gabler, the original Henrik Ibsen, is a work about the psychology of a woman who yearns for freedom amid social constraints and oppression. Hedda, the main character, is a three-dimensional character with an elegant exterior but hidden anxiety, desire, and destructive nature inside.

Along with Lee Young-ae, Kim Jung-ho stars as Heda's husband 'Tesman', who is not interested in academic achievement, and Ji Hyun-joon stars as a judge 'Brack', who constantly puts psychological pressure on Heda in close proximity. Lee Seung-joo was assigned to the role of the old lover 'Roebborg', who awakens Heda's sleeping desires, and Baek Ji-won was assigned to the role of the friend 'Thea', who stimulates Heda's jealousy. Lee Jung-mi stars as the aunt 'Tesman' who has traditional values, and Jo Eo-jin stars as Hedda's maid 'bert'.

The performance is an adaptation of Richard Ear, who won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Revival in 2006.

The director is directed by Jeon In-cheol, who is called the "Master of Fine Text Analysis" as the main character of the 54th Dong-A Theater Awards. Jeon In-cheol said, "'Kirie' 'I'm a murderer' It is evaluated that it solved contemporary issues in a unique way, such as 'Women on Earth' and 'Sister Moran'.




In this performance, Heda's multi-layered inner world will capture our complex psychology and anxiety living in modern society, and sharpen the repeated conflicts in the social structure through the people around him.
