Lim Chang-jung opened a ticket for a solo concert commemorating the 30th anniversary of her debut on the 12th. Lim Chang-jung will continue her tour performances at the Exco Auditorium in Daegu on May 3, at the Dream Theater in Busan on May 24, and at Yonsei University Grand Auditorium in Seoul on May 31.
The problem is that the new performance was planned without the issues related to the last performance being properly organized.
According to multiple officials, Lim Chang-jung signed a national tour concert with performance agency A in 2022. Company A reportedly paid Lim Chang-jung a guarantee worth 1 billion won.
However, in April 2023, suspicions were raised that Lim Chang-jung had a close relationship with stock manipulators led by Ra Deok-yeon, and the brakes were put on. Lim Chang-jung sang songs and encouraged investment at investment meetings of Ra Deok-yeon's group. In response, Lim Chang-jung claimed that it is true that he made 5.8 billion won in a month by investing 3 billion won in Ra Deok-yeon and his party, but eventually suffered serious damage.

However, the relationship between Company A and Lim Chang-jung was cracked in 2024. Lim Chang-jung was cleared of the stock manipulation case in June 2024. And signed a performance contract with Mbox Entertainment. According to officials, the performance guarantee paid to Lim Chang-jung by Mbox Entertainment is estimated to amount to 1.5 billion won. However, Lim Chang-jung did not repay any of the damages that Company A had covered with his personal history. He even did not return the 1 billion won performance guarantee he received from Company A.
An official, who asked not to be named, said "If we didn't perform, shouldn't we return the performance guarantee?" It is an act of abandoning the minimum moral responsibility as a public figure to change the performance agency and pretend not to know even after receiving a guarantee without any agreement with Company A.
