The police have started to determine the exact cause of death of singer Wheesung (real name Choi Wheesung), who died at his home in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.

The Gwangjin Police Station in Seoul has decided to ask the National Forensic Service to conduct an autopsy to determine the specific circumstances of Wheesung's death. Wheesung was found in an apartment in Gwangjin-gu at around 6:29 p.m. on the 10th and was pronounced dead.

No criminal charges, including signs of external invasion, have been confirmed, but syringes were reported to have been placed around the time of discovery.

The National Forensic Service plans to conduct an autopsy on the body on the morning of the 12th to investigate the exact cause of death, including whether or not drugs were administered. The bereaved family plans not to set up a mortuary for the deceased after the autopsy, but to go through cremation procedures.

Ostrich Entertainment, the agency, asked "We sincerely ask you to refrain from unrefirmed rumors and speculative reports for the bereaved families in great shock and sorrow."
