Yoo Seung-joon's third lawsuit against entering the country to avoid military service...A meaningful message that South Korea will do well.

Singer Yoo Seung-joon begins his third administrative lawsuit against the government.

On the afternoon of the 20th, the Seoul Administrative Court (Chief Judge Kim Soon-yeol) will hold the first hearing of Yoo Seung-joon's lawsuit against the Consulate General of Los Angeles and the Ministry of Justice to cancel the visa issuance denial and confirm the absence of the entry ban.

Yoo Seung-joon gave up his Korean citizenship and obtained U.S. citizenship after leaving the country in January 2002, before working as a public service worker, saying he would return from an overseas performance. Accordingly, the Ministry of Justice banned Yoo Seung-joon from entering the country.

Yoo Seung-joon applied for an overseas Korean (F-4) visa in 2015, but the Consulate General of LA rejected it. Then, Yoo Seung-joon filed the first lawsuit, asking for the cancellation of the visa issuance.

Yoo Seung-joon lost in the first and second trials, but the Supreme Court decided to revoke and return it. After that, the revocation trial ended with Yoo Seung-joon's victory, and Yoo Seung-joon applied for a second visa issuance. However, the Consulate General of L.A. refused to issue visas, saying it was feared to harm the national interest, and Yoo filed a second lawsuit in October 2020.

Although he lost in the first trial, the second trial court ruled to cancel the denial of visa issuance. The Consulate General of LA refused to issue a visa again in June last year, and Yoo Seung-joon filed another lawsuit in September of the same year.

However, even if Yoo Seung-joon wins, it is unclear whether he will be able to step on Korean soil. The Military Manpower Administration is still maintaining the entry ban imposed on Yoo Seung-joon.

In the meantime, Yoo Seung-joon posted on his account that he has been working out for 30 years. I don't think I've ever had more than a week off from exercise (except for back surgery, broken left hand, and a break due to a ruptured triceps). I've never had Botox on my face, and I've never had a procedure or plastic surgery. I don't even dream of drugs in my body. I don't know if I've trained my inner man more by taking care of my body. My insides are much stronger and firmer than they are on the outside."

Then "Those who have done something after taking a stand do not evaluate others easily. It's because you know how hard it is for him to be there. How can anyone who has achieved everything and lost everything. Now I live my life thinking that no one in the world is worse than me. They are the next generation living in a collapsed society where it is hard to tell even what is the right path, what is evil path, what is good and what is evil. This old man eagerly expects to see the world right away and overcome difficult times. Thanks to you, the Republic of Korea will never be better."
