Earlier, the first trial court sentenced A to seven years in prison. The prosecution asked the appeals court to dismiss Mr. A's appeal, seeking the same sentence of seven years in prison
The incident began as a general social relationship when Kim Joon-soo first met A, but led to racketeering charges when it was revealed that A illegally recorded private conversations and threatened to distribute them.
Kim Joon-soo was recently found to have been extorted by A, an Internet broadcaster BJ, worth 800 million won.
Mr. A threatened Kim Jun-su and extorted hundreds of millions of won in bribes, saying that he would release the recording file, including the contents of the conversation, to pay for his drug administration.
