Burnout Jaurim Kim Yoon-ah Commemorates 11th Anniversary After Ferry Sewol Disaster



Vocalist Kim Yoon-ah of the band Jaurim paid tribute to the victims on the 11th anniversary of the Ferry Sewol.

On the 16th, Kim Yun-ah posted a 'yellow ribbon' image symbolizing the Ferry Sewol disaster along with the article "11th anniversary of the Ferry Sewol disaster #Remember20140416".

Earlier, Kim Yoon-ah appeared on Channel A entertainment program 'Oh Eun-young's Golden Counseling Center' in 2022 and confessed that burnout came after the Ferry Sewol incident in 2014.




He said, "'Burnout has come since about 2014' and fell into a sense of shame as to what's the point of doing music'. As this condition persists, I have a studio in my house, but I can't go in here. I'm afraid to open the door and I can't touch the instrument", he confessed,

Kim Yun-ah then said, `I have various nerve pain, sinusitis, and wake up every 15 minutes because of sleep disorders. When I wake up, the song I was working on is circling in my head. My ribs also hurt so much and I have digestive problems, so I keep drying out. It's not because I want to be skinny", adding to the regret by saying that it was a symptom that began in 2011.Kim Yoon-ah said she has been aware of her burnout since 2014. He said "Aren't there a lot of dark things going on in 2014?" Many people were affected by social trends"Then I began to think that the music was meaningless. I was in a sense of self-destruction", referring indirectly to the Ferry Sewol disaster.

Meanwhile, the Ferry Sewol disaster occurred on April 16, 2014, when a passenger ship Ferry Sewol heading from Incheon to Jeju sank in the sea near Jindo Island, killing 304 passengers and missing. In particular, the accident included 250 second-year students and 11 teachers from Danwon High School who went on a school trip.
