While A, a former member of girl group Maidin, sued, claiming that he was forcibly harassed by Lee Yong-hak, CEO of 143 Entertainment (143 Entertainment), 143 Entertainment confronted him head-on, saying "A claim that is different from the truth." A complained of damage by presenting Lee's handwritten memorandum as evidence, while 143 Entertainment expressed regret that the complaint was filed six months later when the request for consolation money was rejected.

A's mother, A's legal representative, and 143 Enterprise employees who withdrew from Madein attended a press conference hosted by the Hanbit Media Labor and Human Rights Center at the Korea Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul on the 29th. "Representative Lee verbally abused and threatened A, who was a minor at the time, and then forcibly molested him in March last year."`"Representative Lee admitted to the sexual harassment and said he would not penalize his activities, but he did not keep his promise.'

On this day, Mr. A's mother first blocked contact with her friend, saying, `CEO Lee cares about A like his own daughter, and violated her privacy by inspecting her daughter's mobile phone"After graduating from high school, my touch intensified, and my daughter told me not to touch her, but the representative continued to contact her because she was working." My daughter sent me a rescue signal several times, but I turned away, and I ended up experiencing something unimaginable."

Regarding the case, "At the time, I received a memorandum and tried to finish the activity quietly, but the representative did not keep his promise. After that, the daughter collapsed, and every day was like hell. The daughter wanted to continue her team activities, but the representative announced the exit and insisted that the exclusive contract was valid. I asked for a settlement for my daughter's future because I didn't have anything, but even this was rejected and my daughter was threatened.

Then "I'm just guilty as a parent. I want to protect my child even now. Lee must be removed from the industry," he cried out for his unfairness.

Mr. A's mother's position is that CEO Lee, who tried to finish the case with a memorandum, denied the sexual harassment and treated Mr. A unfairly. Regarding the settlement, Lee's resignation was the original purpose, but he added that it was the last choice for A's future when even this was not observed.

A's side also released a handwritten memorandum written by CEO Lee as evidence, acknowledging the sexual harassment. The memorandum released by A contains an apology for sexual harassment against member A, a promise that CEO Lee will step down from his position as CEO, and a plan to ensure that there are no disadvantages in future contractual relationships.

A filed a complaint against CEO Lee with the Gangnam Police Station in April. Representative Lee was booked as a suspect and is facing a police investigation. Mr. A said "CEO Lee admitted the crime, but is now denying the allegations, saying that there was no coercion."

Regarding the report 'Case Team Leader', Mr. A expressed regret, saying that the voice of the victim's testimony was used for broadcasting without Mr. A's consent. In particular, in the report, he explained that the beginning of the incident was 'Boyfriend brought to the accommodation' and emphasized that the facts were distorted as if A was partially responsible. Legal procedures are also expected to be taken. Mr. A said that he is considering filing a complaint with the Media Arbitration Commission about the report \'Case Team Leader'."

A former 143 Enterprise employee also attended the press conference as a witness and helped A's side. Heo Yoo-jung, former head of 143 Entertainment A&R team, said, `Lee was the leader of the group. Even when employees' salaries were pushed back, they bought luxury bags to certain members and favored them. There is also a fact that he received hundreds of millions of dollars from his parents."

On the other hand, 143 Entertainment countered, saying that A's claim was not true. On the same day, 143 Entertainment stated that it is regrettable that the representative of the management company has been involved in the controversy, but that the member's argument is different from the facts.

"We filed a criminal complaint about six months later after demanding a large amount of consolation money based on a unilateral claim on the case already reported last year."

"As the police investigation is currently underway, we are actively cooperating with the investigation and trying to correct the distorted part through objective data," he said. "We hope that the truth will be revealed by this incident, and we will also fulfill our responsibilities based on legal judgment."

The case became public in November last year when JTBC 'Case Team Leader' reported that a multinational girl group member who debuted in September 2024 was sexually harassed by the CEO of the agency. While the victim was identified as Madein A at the time, 143 Entertainment stated that there was no sexual contact between the member and the representative mentioned in the broadcast by any sexual harassment or other force, and the report was not true"It has been denied.

Amid sharp divergence between the two sides over allegations of sexual harassment, the truth is expected to be determined by the results of the investigation. The police have currently booked CEO Lee as a suspect and are facing a full-fledged investigation. The issue of exclusive contracts also remains to be seen. Mr. A has already withdrawn from Maidin, but his exclusive contract with 143 Entertainment is still in effect. Attention is paid to future legal procedures and results.
