According to the Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency, the police conducted a search and seizure of a hospital in Bucheon City operated by Yang Jae-woong on the 14th and secured electronic records such as hospital CCTV footage, medical records and medication logs. In addition, Yang Jae-woong and other hospital officials' cell phones were also confiscated.




The police are conducting a digital forensics of the seized items.

On May 27 last year, a woman in her 30s, who was hospitalized at a hospital run by Yang Jae-woong, died. The bereaved families sued Yang Jae-woong and others, saying the hospital did not take appropriate medical measures against A, who complained of abdominal pain, but was forced to quarantine and died.

However, Yang Jae-woong remained silent about the incident, and he was criticized for announcing his marriage to Hani four days after the patient's death. However, Yang Jae-woong completely denied the hospital's negligence during the parliamentary audit.




In October last year, the police requested an appraisal from the Korean Medical Association to confirm medical negligence, but decided to suspend the investigation in January on the grounds that there was no reply.As the bereaved families filed an objection, the police decided to resume the investigation on the 21st of last month.
