Actor Choi Min-ho showed his growth as an actor through the play Rendezvous.

Choi Min-ho met with Sports Chosun at the Seoul Arts Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul on the 25th and learned a lot from Lee Soon-jae during his first play"It was so satisfying that there was no difficulty in choosing the next work."

The play "Rendezvous", which was first performed on the 5th, is a two-person play about Tae-seop, a scientist immersed in rocket development, and Ji-hee, who wants to find freedom through dance, facing each other's wounds and emotions through an accidental meeting, and Yosef K (Kim Jeong-han) wrote and directed the play. Choi Min-ho played Tae-seop, a rocket research developer who locked himself in his own laws to escape from painful memories.

Choi Min-ho performed about 11 times, but after more than half of it, each episode began to feel more regrettable. The more I perform, the deeper I think about myself, and I feel sorry to think that I'm leaving this stage."

As for how he came to join 'Rendezvous', he seems to have been able to challenge himself because he was not actually familiar with it. It wasn't my first play, but when I first encountered the script, I felt as if I was possessed. I was convinced that it was a fun and attractive work, and I had a strong desire to do it. Rather than realistic aspects such as the amount of dialogue and the scale of the stage, if the schedule fits well, I really want to try this work' had a bigger heart,' he explained. "'It didn't take a day to make a decision.'

In particular, 'Landebu' is a work in which most of the lines are composed of blanks. Choi Min-ho filled the stage for 100 minutes without a single exit, unraveling Tae-seop's inner side in detail. He said "It wasn't always easy to memorize long lines even in dramas and movies. When I was playing, I was very worried about whether I could memorize this, but as I continued to practice day by day, I gradually gained my own rhythm and confidence. It was fun to deliver what I imagined to the audience on a stage that was less than 20 meters long like a runway. I felt that giving trust to the director and staff was also an important responsibility as an actor. As I kept practicing and discovering new things, my confidence grew more and more than the worries and concerns I had at first."

Then "From the first two to three performances, it was a place to show a lot of things prepared in the practice room. I had my own tension, and I was worried and worried that I would get it wrong. "But as more and more audiences immersed themselves in the play, and laughed and cried, I was convinced that the things I had prepared were well delivered." In some scenes, the acting was changed boldly, and there were parts that were coordinated to give the audience a bigger laugh while consulting with the director. As I got used to the stage, I was more relaxed. We made the character more firm so that even those who saw the work for the first time could clearly recognize it,' he added.

Choi Min-ho made his first attempt at acting on stage with the play `Waiting for Godot' earlier. At that time, he worked with Lee Soon-jae as a fixed pair, but as Lee Soon-jae dropped out for health reasons, Choi Min-ho was also unable to make it to the rest of the performance.

He was very satisfied, and he learned a lotIt was an honor just to be on stage with teacher Lee Soon-jae. From the standpoint of learning the play, it was such a valuable time that it would not be a waste of money. It was more precious and happy because it was an experience that could not be easily obtained anywhere. I was so satisfied with the first one, so I didn't have much trouble choosing the next one," he said in hindsight.

When I asked Lee Soon-jae if he had heard about the performance of Rendezvous, Choi Min-ho said "It was difficult to contact him directly because the teacher didn't have a cell phone"Shin-gu, Park Geun-hyung, and Lee Soon-jae have always been together in the play. This time, Shingu and Park Geun-hyung are doing a play 'Waiting for Godot', and they also had a relationship with the production company, so they visited the practice room to greet them. The teachers loved it so much, and I was grateful that they loved the fact that a very young actor was doing a play," he said in greeting.
