Kang Ji-yong passed away on the 22nd. The mortuary was set up at the funeral hall of Cheonan Hospital affiliated with Soonchunhyang University, and his wife and 3-year-old daughter were listed in Sangju.
Kang Ji Yong made his debut as a professional footballer after being drafted by the Pohang Steelers through the 2009 K League Draft.
Kang Ji-yong, who played for Pohang for three years, moved to Busan I'Park in 2012 and later retired in the 2022 season after playing for Bucheon FC, Gangwon FC, Incheon United, and Gimpo FC.
In February, he appeared on JTBC 'Departure Camp' and revealed his conflict with his wife over financial issues, but he also showed a dramatic reconciliation with his wife through solutions.
