New Jin's exclusive contract termination lawsuit reveals disagreement between parents

Among the underage members, Hyein and Haerin, parents seem to have divided opinions... I've caught the situation of restricting parental rights on the other side

According to Chosun Biz on the 4th, some parents have been caught opposing the dispute among New Jin's members who are filing a lawsuit with their agency, Adore, to terminate their exclusive contracts. This is the first time that a disagreement between the parents of Newzins has been confirmed.

The exclusive contract dispute between New Jeans and its agency Adore stems from a conflict between Hive and Adore Min Hee-jin in April last year. Since then, the members of Newzins have been in legal proceedings, claiming that the exclusive contract was terminated on November 29 last year due to the failure to fulfill Adore's contract obligations. In response, parents of Newzins opened a social media account on January 31 this year to actively represent the members' positions.

However, according to the industry on the 4th, the court confirmed to Newzins' representative that the lawsuit was approved after the decision to exercise the family court's parental rights against Defendant 4 was made at the 41st division of the Seoul Central District Court's civil agreement on the 3rd. Currently, two of the members of the New Jeans are Hye-in and Hae-rin, and legal proceedings for the exercise of parental rights appear to have been carried out due to differences between parents of one of them.

Similar comments were made in the provisional injunction for preserving the status of the agency held in the 50th part of the civil agreement at the Seoul Central District Court on the 7th of last month. At the time, the court pointed out that "currently the legal representation is flawed", suggesting that a disagreement between parents caused problems with the exercise of joint parental rights in the exclusive contract termination lawsuit.

At the time, Sejong, a law firm representing Newzins, said there was an interrogation at the family court yesterday, and it is expected to be concluded at least next week. Judging from the statement that the decision was made on the exercise of parental authority in the court on the 3rd, and that the lawsuit so far was approved, it seems that the legal proceedings were carried out according to the position of the parental authority who opposed the lawsuit and agreed.

Newzins parents have argued on social media that Adore did not fulfill his exclusive contractual obligations and the contract was terminated accordingly. However, following the court's rejection of Newzins' claims on March 21 and citing Adore's request for an injunction against activities, it was confirmed that there were differences between the parents of the members, raising the possibility that the dispute would face a new phase in the future.

On the 3rd, the 41st Civil Affairs Department of the Seoul Central District Court held its first hearing on the lawsuit for validating the exclusive contract filed by Adore against Newgens members on the 3rd and was struggling with the claims of the breakdown of trust among Newgens members.

The court said, "'The trust relationship with the company is broken because the trainees (singers) who don't settle the bill, and they really have to make a living, but in this case, it's unusual.'" Isn't it like, "'If you knew what kind of person that person is, you wouldn't have gone to the company as a trainee?' I'll think about whether to look at management or production as a trust relationship in a long-term contract" he stated his position.

Meanwhile, the court cited all of Adore's injunction against Newzins, which was prohibited from preserving the status of an agency and signing an advertising contract.
