According to the police on the 1st, former lawmaker Jang was found dead at 11:40 p.m. on the 31st of last month at an officetel in Gangdong-gu, Seoul.
A police official said "No charges of murder have been found", and a suicide note was reportedly found at the scene.
Former lawmaker Jang, who served as a three-term lawmaker, has been under police investigation for allegedly committing sexual violence against his secretary A (semi-rape injury) in November 2015, when he was vice president of a university in Busan.
