On the 7th, the Secretariat of the Baeksang Arts Awards announced the candidates for broadcasting, film, and theater at the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards with Gucci selected through fair and fierce screening on its official website and official SNS.
The Baeksang Arts Awards have presented screening standards in line with content consumption trends, such as expanding the scope of screening from three terrestrial companies to cable, general service, OTT, and the web, and including creators as the subject of screening. According to the expanded standard, the TV sector will be renamed to the broadcasting sector this year, and another change will be made.

Director Kim Won-seok (Netflix 'I got tricked'), director Kim Hee-won (Disney + 'Light Shop'), director Song Yeon-hwa (MBC 'You're such an intimate traitor'), director Lee Do-yoon (Netflix 's Center for Severe Trauma'), and director Jung Ji-in (tvN 's Jungnyeon'). Writers Kim Jung-min (Coupang Play 'Family Planning '), Park Ji-sook (JTBC 'Occ Mrs. '), Lee Si-eun (tvN 'Bounce With Sunjae'), Im Sang-chun (Netflix 'I got tricked'), and Choi Yu-na (SBS 'Good Partner'). Director Lee Young-joo (Netflix 'Black and White Cook: The Battle of the Culinary Class'Art), director Lee Jin-seok and Lee Deok-hoon (MBC 'Shooting such an Intimate Traitor'), director Jang Young-gyu (tvN 'Jungnai' Music), director Cho Dong-hyuk (Tving 'Study Group' Martial Arts), supervisors Hong Jung-ho, Lee Seung-je, Kim Dae-joon, and Kim Jung-min (Netflix 'Hell Season 2'VFX) were nominated for the Arts Award.
The best acting award, which selects the actor who showed the best performance last year, was decided by five candidates for each man and woman after fierce discussions. The male and female supporting actor categories are expected to be the hottest competition ever. Kim Joon-han (SBS 'Good Partner'), Noh Jae-won (Netflix 'Squid Game'Season 2), Yoon Kyung-ho (Netflix 'Severe Trauma Center', Choi Dae-hoon (Netflix 'I got tricked'), and Hyun Bong-sik (TVing 'Good or Bad Dong-jae') were nominated for a supporting actor award. Kim Won-hoon, Dex, Sung Si-kyung, Shin Dong-yeop, and Yoo Jae-seok are nominees for the male entertainment award. For the female entertainment awards, Lee Soo-ji, Jang Do-yeon, Ji Ye-eun, Hae-won, and Hong Jin-kyung became competitors in good faith. This year's Baeksang Arts Awards screening is a Korean feature film and a play released in Korea during the same period, content provided by terrestrial, general cable, and OTT from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025. The entertainment category in the broadcasting sector is subject to screening even content provided on the web. Before selecting candidates for each category, a preliminary survey will be conducted on 60 professional evaluators, and the judges in each category selected by the recommendation of a group of experts representing broadcasting, movies, and plays will determine candidates and winners through strict screening.
The 61st Baeksang Arts Awards with Gucci' will be held at COEX D Hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, at 8 p.m. on May 5. Italian luxury brand Gucci will participate as a partner for three consecutive years and will be broadcast live simultaneously on JTBC, JTBC2, and JTBC4.
